Neat story about the effects of "Part time pundits in pajamas"
From the Plain Dealer:
It's too early to say whether John Kerry or George W. Bush is cooked yet, but one of the side dishes of this election year is done.
A week after Dan Rather told us CBS had the smoking gun on The Issue of the 2004 campaign - whether political influence was used to find George W. Bush a slot in the Texas Air National Guard back in the 20th century - he finally admitted that the network had been had. The gun was smoking, all right, but only because Rather had emptied the magazine into his own foot...... The story that the "60 Minutes" team had been the victims of a hoax - and not a terribly clever one at that - didn't exactly break. It detonated, literally within minutes, in a corner of the Internet known to its inhabitants as the Blogosphere.
