Freedom and the American Dream
<>A new study suggests that this election may be as much about freedom as anything else, with those placing the highest value on it increasingly identifying with the Republican Party.... Politically, 44 percent of Republicans say that freedom defines the American Dream, while only 29 percent of Democrats do.
Perhaps that's why we're seeing democrats do whatever they can do to win power regardless if it shatters the American political system. Freedom isn't the issue for them. Controlling our lives might be, though.
