Talking the Talk
Hillary Clinton is talking the talk, but can she walk the walk?:
I am not trying to take Senator Clinton's faith walk away from her, but I remind her of a biblical saying: By their fruit you will know them.

There is a lot more to being Christian than just being pro-life.
Many of us on the Christian left find the right's positions quite opposed to what we see as Christian values but we do not go around calling the Christian right heathens. Putting the abortion issue to the side (there are pro-life/pro-choice people on the right and left), there are many issues we feel are being overlooked. Since Jesus did not condemn homosexuality and since there are many parts of the old testament that we no longer condemn people for (eg. eating shell fish) or condone (eg. selling slaves) we choose to follow the path of tolerance that Jesus taught and we depart with teaching hate. Where is the Christian right when it comes to the 12 million people living below the poverty level? We on the Christian left are for the protection of the family by ensuring living wages over tax cuts, taking care of the ill over tax cuts, feeding the children over tax cuts, etc. If I have to choose between a candidate who will pass health care reform but would close loop holes for buying guns at gun shows and a candidate who is against health care but pro-gun, which one is more Christian? Caring for your neighbor and praying for peace is not exactly un-Christian.

Hillary called herself a Conservative evangelical, and I was pointing out that according to her voting record there is a difference.
Now personally, I am not what some people would call an evangelical Christian. I am a conservative Catholic who believes in the teaching of the Church.
But this is not what I was talking about. Does she walk the walk? And the answer is no, Hillary, who is a complex woman with strong opinions, not all bad, not all good like most of us, does not walk the conservative evangelical walk.
I will not comment about her sincerity in her walk with God. Not my place to judge what's in her heart.
