Some things, it is true,
that we can never get enough:
hugs,
friends,
hope,
peace,
love.
Some things, it is true,
that only a crumb
causes a surfeit:
lies,
hate,
disengenuity,
misrepresentation,
manipulation,
cruelty,
abuse.
Some people think
that in the name of power
that evil used to gain the means
has no limits,
long as they get the job done.
May they choke
on the surfeit
of their own amorality
until they learn
that black is black,
white is white,
and black done for white
sullies the good,
and makes Truth weep.
